Hollywood's Award Season is always a spectacle, beginning with press junkets, award and fashion predictions, and ending in triumphant wins for a few select actors and actresses. Sunday night's show was no different - British comedian Ricky Gervais mercilessly mocked the audience and the Hollywood Foreign Press (and may or may not have been forcibly removed from the stage), while the red carpet fashion favored a mix of reds, greens, nudes, and strong shoulders. Read on for Promenade's favorite dresses and jewels from last night's red carpet fashion.
Although all of the celebs sparkled last night, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry was at the front of the line. Black Swan actress Mila Kunis, 27, shone in an off-the-shoulder deep green Vera Wang dress with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, while Blue Valentine's Michelle Williams, 30, rocked a floral Valentino gown which was topped with Fred Leighton jewelry.
Scarlett Johansson, 26, showed up wearing a nude-colored Elie Saab dress with Van Cleef and Arpels jewelry while 29-year-old Natalie Portman (AKA everyone's favorite mom-to-be) looked elegant in a light pink Viktor and Rolf dress that was complimented by Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
On the TV end of things, Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester, 24, wore a long-sleeved nude Burberry Prorsum dress with Cathy Waterman jewelry. Glee was a big winner at the awards, and Lea Michelle brought the fashion to match with a salmon colored gown by Oscar de la Renta with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
As you may well know, the Golden Globes act as something of a palate cleanser for Hollywood's biggest night of all, The Oscars, airing February 27th. Stay tuned!
